What started as a soccer-driven podcast in 2018 has grown into a multi-sport media platform capturing authentic stories across the sports world. Same access. Same honesty. A wider lens.
Founded by former professional soccer player Hugh Roberts, Backyard Entertainment is built on real access and lived experience.
After an 11-year professional career, Hugh transitioned into storytelling full-time — now working with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and holding an MBA, bringing both perspective and purpose to every project.
